If you feel like leaving the cosy bubble of Fife, you can venture further afield to easily enjoy day tripping to many fabulous locations and indulge in a Scottish adventure.

Fife encompasses many different places, with both villages and towns, by the coast and in rural areas. Journey to explore further afield by car or on the frequent bus or train routes to larger towns such as St Andrews, Dundee, Kirkcaldy and Dunfermline. Visit the historic villages which line the coast on the way to Edinburgh such as the Royal Burgh of Culross, with it’s beautiful Abbey and Culross Palace.

Venture to Aberdour which looks south to the Island of Inchcolm and onwards to North Queensferry where the impressive road and rail bridges can be seen stretching over the Firth of Forth.

The Three Forth Bridges

Take in the impressive site of the three bridges from North Queensferry where you can view the famous rail and road suspension bridges which replaced a centuries-old ferry service and spans the Firth of Forth, connecting Edinburgh at Queensferry, to Fife, at North Queensferry, and view the new Queensferry Crossing Bridge which now boasts position of the highest UK bridge.

Nestled in the bay of North Queensferry is Deep Sea World where you can enjoy a day out, perfect rainy day activity to hang out with your favourite sea creatures, tick an item off the bucket list with a swim with the sharks, or watch the seals entertain a crowd.
